We would like to appreciate that you get a new printer. Before you begin the setup process, make sure the printer box is sealed, and untampered, and not physically damaged.

If you notice any signs of tampering, broken seals, or box damage, do not proceed with unboxing and contact your vendor to report the issue.

If everything looks ok, let's set up the printer.

Unboxing and Basic Setup

  1. Unboxing the printer – Carefully remove all packing materials, tapes, and protective covers from the printer
  2. Check and verify the accessories – Check and verify that all the accessories, like power cord, cartridges, driver CD, and user manual, are available.
  3. Place the printer in a safe place - Choose a safe and dry place to set it up on a stable, flat surface near the computer and power outlet. Also, make sure the printer should be in the wifi range for proper wifi connectivity.

Connecting with Hardware

  1. Power cable connect – Check the power cable properly and connect it with the printer socket and plug it into a power outlet. Make sure both sides of the power cable are connected, and turn it on.
  2. Install Cartridges: Open the cartridges rack and insert the cartridges properly. Check the user manual for help.
  3. Load paper – take clean and unfolded papers and place in the paper input tray. Make sure the paper put properly to avoid jams.

Software & Drivers

  1. Install Driver – Use the CD which you get with the printer or download the latest driver from the printer manufacturer's official website. If you are facing any issue, contact the support team to install the driver.
  2. Connect to Device:
    • USB: Connect the USB cable to the printer and PC and try a test print.
    • Wireless: If your printer supports wifi connectivity, connect to wifi using the printer display or app/ Software on your pc.
    • Ethernet: If you want to use your printer on a network, then connect to the router using LAN cable

Mobile & Cloud Printing

  1. Download Mobile App: Install the brand’s app (e.g., HP Smart, Canon PRINT, Epson iPrint) from the Google Play Store or App Store for wireless/mobile printing.
  2. Set Up Cloud Printing: For Google Cloud Print or other services, register your printer online if supported.

Test & Configure

  1. Print a Test Page: Hope now you have configured all things properly. Make sure everything is working and aligned correctly. If you are sure, try a test print.
  2. Update Firmware: Also check for updates to fix bugs and improve performance of your printer.
  3. Configure Settings: Set default preferences like paper size, colour or black and white, print quality, and duplex printing.
